Celebrate Orleans County’s bounty Saturdays at the Canal Village Farmers Market in Medina through October featuring epicurean delights from locally grown produce, craft beverages, locally raised meats, as well as a variety of artists each week. The Farmers Market is highlighted by its 2nd annual Farm to Table Dinner with seating for 200 in the middle of Main Street, Medina August 3rd featuring a locally sourced 5-course meal prepared by two guest chefs. August 10th, celebrate Medina’s 185th birthday and the Erie Canal’s bicentennial by touring the Schooner Lois McClure as it docks at the Erie Canal Basin. The party includes birthday cake, live music and family entertainment.
The 3rd annual Metro 10 is scheduled for August 19th at Bullard Park in Albion where runners will compete for the coveted trophy for either Team Rochester (the defending champions) or Team Buffalo. www.metro10race.com.

Celebrate our rich heritage at the 2nd annual Orleans County Heritage Festival, Sept. 8-17. Orleans County partners with Genesee Community College to host a county-wide celebration of historical and cultural attractions centering around four themes: the Erie Canal, our Military history, Cobblestone & Sandstone and “Legends & Lore, Spirits and Supernatural”.
