On September 2, two spectacles come together for Artpark’s season Finale. Big Bang, by French performance group Plasticiens Volants, combines huge floating inflatable creatures with projected images, music, and pyrotechnics to tell an unforgettable, dreamlike story. William Close will perform with his Earth Harp Collective on the newly extended Earth Harp, now featuring 24-36 strings sailing above the audience. You will literally sit inside the belly of the harp that is played. The body sits on stage with the strings shooting out over your heads to the back of the venue.
Celebrate the many flavors of the area with the Taste of Niagara Falls located at Old Falls Street, USA (September 2-3) from noon to 8 p.m. Bringing together over 25 restaurants in the Niagara Falls area, as well as surrounding businesses, the Taste of Niagara Falls celebrates the cuisine of Niagara Falls complemented by live music, a beer tent, and an outdoor movie.
Take a trip back in time at Old Fort Niagara during Soldiers of the Revolution (August 5-6). This weekend filled with military skirmishes, and hands on activities for children, gives visitors a history rich glimpse at life on the New York frontier during the American Revolution. September 2-3 the Fort will host a War of 1812 encampment.
Enjoy an old carnival feel at the Niagara County Peach Festival (September 8-10) at Academy Park in Lewiston. Kicked off by a fun filled parade, this festival offers carnival rides, peach short cake, entertainment and enjoyment for all ages.
